Hypo-allergenic Qualities
It was discovered by accident that the Siberian Cat does not effect some allergy suffers as much or in some cases
not at all. At this point in time NO OFFICIAL STUDY has been done; but many
allergy suffers have had the joy of having a Siberian join their household. In
some cases more than one.
It is believed that the Siberian does not produce the protein FEL-D1 in their saliva. This protein is what causes cats to have dander. Dander is what causes allergic reaction.
We have had many successful placements of our cats into homes with allergy sufferers. Although, not everyone can tolerate these cats, it is best to contact a breeder close to you and handle the cats before you buy one.
